Nicole Scherzinger effortlessly sported a pair of pointed-pump shoes on Friday afternoon while walking around New York City.

Currently performing on Broadway with the Sunset Boulevard Musical, the singer enjoyed a break from the show for which she is getting rave reviews, and walked around the city in a pair of white pointed-toe pumps. The shoes were most likely from Gianvito Rossi and were constructed with patent leather material and emphasized by their sharp, triangular design. Rounding out the silhouette was a stiletto heel estimated to be in-between 4-to-5 inches in height, which is typical of the heels Sherzinger wears both on and off the stage.

As for her outfit, the actress opted for a cut out blue tank with matching palazzo pants that included pleats on the sides. Accessorizing her ensemble with a pair of black sunglasses, she let her long dark locks fall in a middle part style.

For the occasion, the actress wore a patent leather pair of Christian Louboutin pumps highlighted by a mid-foot strap that crossed along her foot in a diagonal pattern. While the back of her shoes couldn’t be seen completely, it’s likely the shoes were finished with a closed-back design. As for as the heels go, Gomez has been known to choose heels within the 4-to-5-inch range, so it’s likely that was the case with this pair as well.

Many brands such as Gianvito Rossi, Chanel, Gucci and more offer their own variation of the pointed pump style, with prices typically ranging anywhere from $75 to $1,000 dollars for a pair. 

If you want to get technical, this isn’t Rihanna’s first go-round with the Puma brand.

First partnering with the brand in 2014 as a brand ambassador and creative director, the entertainment mogul began releasing collections under the Fenty x Puma moniker in 2016. While she eventually departed in 2018 to become a major entrepreneur with her own brands, it was announced in March 2023 by the brand’s CEO Arne Freundt that the two were teaming up once again to revive their incredibly impressive successful partnership. 

The superstar gave an exclusive to Senior Editor Nikara Johns for the Footwear News September 2023 issue to discuss the vision for her then-upcoming soccer-inspired collection, which was a fresh take on the classic Puma Avanti. “Football is a universal language that brings people together from all over the world, all walks of life, and I wanted to pay homage to that,” she told Johns, with Bob Philion, president and CEO of Puma North America, adding: “She moves culture, sets trends and she certainly can move our business. Fenty is stronger now than it was when she was with us before.”

Now, a little over one year later, the two are back with another collection that channels her “soccer mom” era. For this latest release of the The Fenty x Puma Avanti sneakers, Rihanna hosted a press conference in Los Angeles to unveil her latest creation, choosing young influencers Jazlyn “Jazzy” Guerra, Bowie Layne Barcena, twins Alexis and Ava McClure, Jabria McCullum to serve as journalists. 

In a video captured of the interview, she revealed that it’s her childhood that inspired her to work with Puma (and that her favorite snack is french fries as well).

“Fenty x Puma is actually very connected to my home culture because soccer is a big deal in our culture in Barbados. I’ve always looked up to the Puma brand because I always wanted to own a pair of sneakers…it was one of the first sneakers I bought as a child,” she told one kid reporter.

“It’s like coming home,” she added. 

“I don’t think I have a favorite team,” she explained when asked by another young journo. “When my brother and I were younger, we used to love watching Ronaldinho—we thought Brazil was our team. For me, incorporating fashion and sport—you get to reimagine something that is traditional—something that you’ve seen done the same way. There’s so many ways you can reimagine and get creative, and that is the thing I challenge myself with when I am designing with Puma.”

The “ANTI” artist also added that “when you have fun, the experience becomes a memory,” and that “everyone should be able to rock whatever they want, whatever they want to…that’s the Rihanna way.”

Charli XCX has officially joined the Converse team.

The musician revealed the news on her Instagram account, and the partnership is one of the latest as it pertains to the brand’s growing lineup of celebrity collaborations. Having had an incredibly successful 2024 thus far with the release of her sixth studio album “Brat” in June (which sparked a major fashion trend over the summer), the artist has become known for her epic footwear choices, making this the perfect partnership.

The partnership kicks off with Charli celebrating her love for the Chuck Taylor All Star. She stars in a holiday campaign, which was shot by photographer Sharna Osborne.

Charli joins a Converse family of creators that already includes Tyler, The Creator, Billie Eilish, pgLang, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alexis Sablone, Rick Owens, and Isabel Marant among others. More details about the collaboration are set to come in the coming months.

“I wear my Chucks so much they have holes in them, so I was really excited to work with Converse so I could get a new pair. They’re iconic,” the singer said in a statement. 

As far as other Converse collaboration updates, Billie Eilish also unveiled a new footwear collaboration with the brand a couple of weeks ago. The singer shared a picture of herself via social media on Oct. 15 holding a shoe reading “And Soft” on the bottom, which is a nod to her most recent album “Hit Me Hard and Soft.”

Having been regularly seen in Converse throughout the years, the brand then confirmed shortly afterwards that Eilish’s designs of the Chuck Taylor All Star ($100) and Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform ($110) models would be available on their website, with fans being able to tweak Eilish’s Converse designs to their liking using lyrics, colors and graphics from “Hit Me Hard and Soft.”

Aside from Charli XCX and Eilish, Converse also works with the likes of NBA superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, rapper and entrepreneur Tyler the Creator, legendary fashion designer Rick Owens and more.

A release date for Charli XCX x Converse is expected in the near future.

Sabrina Carpenter has a message—several of them actually.

As a surprise to fans, the singer and her stylist Jared Ellner revealed to Vogue in an interview that her infamous tour heels have gotten some pretty neat messages added onto them. And while she certainly has no problem delivering the energy on her “Short ‘N Sweet” tour, these messages do give her a little extra pep in her fashionable steps.

Picking one of her heels up to showcase, Carpenter revealed the words “mother” written on the side of the shoe, and “f-cker” written on the other, paying homage to her hit record “Please Please Please.” And that’s not all either. Ellner added that there are more shoes with hidden messages on them, which we can only assume will be revealed as the tour progresses.

Sabrina Carpenter Didnt Even Know She Has More Secret Message Short n Sweet Heels Coming:

It came as news to fans — and Sabrina Carpenter herself — that more secret messages would soon appear on the soles of her Short and Sweet Tour heels.

Carpenter, 25, and her stylist, Jared Ellner, opened up to Vogue about the costumes she wears onstage in a YouTube video posted on Monday, October 21. While examining her outfits, Carpenter then picked up a pair of her “infamous” heels, which feature “mother” written on the ball of one foot and “f—er” written on the other, referencing lyrics from her hit “Please Please Please.”

“I will be wearing these, and by the way, every night,” Carpenter told her stylist in the video.

He responded: “We actually have more. Different words.”

“Wait, what else do we have?” she replied, to which he responded, “We’ll find out.”

Originally rising to fame in the Disney Channel show “Girl Meets World,” Carpenter has elevated in the fashion space much in the same way she has the music industry, working with notable brands such as Skims.

Her shoe game is one that has been lauded since the early 2010s when she attended Variety’s Power of Youth in a pair of black croc-embossed sandals on the red carpet in 2013, and the premiere of Disney’s “Planes: Fire & Rescue” in 2014, where she showcased a pair of pointed-toe pumps. Throughout the course of her Short ‘N Sweet Tour thus far, the multi-hyphenate has sported a lot of standout footwear, including classic Mary Jane pumps, and sparkling silver platform boots characterized by their heart-shaped cutouts.

There was also the black iteration of the Mary Jane classics worn at her Madison Square Garden date, which were reportedly Werner Kern Tanzschuhe Custom Ashley Shoes in black, and a white version from the same brand. For that same show, Carpenter also donned a silver version of the platform boots with heart cutouts.

We’ll have to see what future shoe messages get revealed in the coming weeks.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla got regal in dress shoes as they greeted fans at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday afternoon as part of their royal visit in Sydney, Australia.

Marking King Charles’ first visit as Monarch, the couple both went for elevated dress looks as they shook hands with visitors and posed for pictures. While Charles went for black leather oxfords, Queen Camilla chose a pair of almond-toe pumps that looked similar to a pair from Roger Vivier. 

Featuring an emphasized triangular design in the front, the pumps were defined by a tan colorway and a buckle embellishment present on the upper.

Also featuring a closed-back that secured her heel in place as she walked, the silhouette was rounded out by a short block heel measuring roughly 2-to-3 inches in height. Completing her ensemble was a flowy white dress with black stripes that added to the overall elegance of her outfit.

The royal was previously seen wearing the exact same pumps she sported to the Sydney Opera House in August while attending the Ebor Festival in York, England, where she commemorate the new, state-of-the-art complex called the Bustardthorpe Development at York Racecourse. For that appearance, she teamed her footwear with a pale blue coat dress that was highlighted by a tailored fit and structural shoulder, which is one of her common styles.

Over the years, Queen Camilla has previously been spotted in pumps from the likes of Charles & Keith, Cole Haan, Chanel and other noteworthy footwear designers. 

An example of this were the shoes she donned yesterday as part of the couple’s six day visit in the land down under. For day three of their trip, she wore her favorite Chanel pumps, which included a cap-toe design, a bicolor motif, a largely tan upper that pulled inspiration from Gabrielle Coco Chanel and a short block heel that also fell within that 2-to-3 inch range she prefers. 

The royal couple are slated to remain in Australia for three more days.

Angel Reese attended the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on Monday night in a pair of strappy sandals from Gianvito Rossi.

Sitting next to fellow basketball star Kysre Gondrezick, Reese chose a pair of black strappy sandals for the occasion, which have been a popular option amongst many celebrities over the course of 2024. Reese’s sandals were constructed with fine patent leather, and characterized by a thin strap across the upper portion of the shoe. Also made with a square-toe design, the shoes were finished by a black ankle strap that secured her feet, and a tall stiletto heel ranging between 3-to-4 inches in height.

While the back of her shoes weren’t visible due to the extended length of her dress, it’s likely the shoes were also completed by an ankle strap and a stiletto heel ranging between 3-to-4 inches in height. As for her outfit, the athlete wore a shimmery halter wrap gown that showed off her midriff, and her hair in a shoulder-length side part style. She, too, kept her makeup neutral for the evening.
