Though Birkenstock has been around for nearly 250 years, the German company continues to create footwear with a few standard practices — comfort and utility — and it has found new audiences thanks to several popular collaborations.
Over the last few years, the brand has stretched its imagination and expanded its offerings through these collabs. With partnerships with streetwear brands like Kith and Concepts, as well as more high-fashion silhouettes through luxury brands like Dior and Manolo Blahnik, Birkenstock has proved that even after two and a half centuries, it’s never too late to switch things up.
