Japanese designer Chitose Abe’s Sacai brand has been around since 1999, but as the worlds of luxury and streetwear further meld, the label has seen significant growth in recent years. This is due in part to its successful collaborations with entities such as Carhartt, Moncler and of course, Nike. For its spring 2025 showing at Paris Fashion Week, Sacai took the opportunity to debut its latest project with the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear company.
Spotted on the feet of runway models in three different colorways, Sacai’s newest Nike collaboration keeps up Abe’s penchant for details such as double shoelaces, dual Swoosh logos and protruding overlays. Reports from the ground indicate the model will be known as the Sacai x Nike Zegamadome, which makes sense given its outdoors-friendly aesthetic.
Using the Nike Zegama 2 trail runner as its base, the shoe has been modified with Abe’s signature flair, yet retains performance elements of the Zegama 2 such as ZoomX foam cushioning and a Vibram outsole.

In addition to the white/gray and black/gray/yellow styles pictured here, the Sacai x Nike Zegamadome was also unveiled in an all-black look.
Sacai and Nike’s partnership began in 2015 when Abe was tapped by the sportswear brand to design a set of women’s apparel. The collection included their first sneaker collaboration, a laceless take on the Nike Air Max 90. While early Sacai x Nike link-ups largely went under the radar, things changed in 2018 with the launch of the LD Waffle. Many sneaker fans considered the colorful shoes one of the year’s top releases, and Sacai and Nike have since aimed to recapture the magic with similar concepts.
No release details for the Sacai x Nike Zegamadome have been confirmed, but readers can expect the collaboration to arrive during early ’25. This story will be updated with official launch information and retail pricing when announced.
