Two weeks after delivering a pepperoni pizza-print sneaker for skater Stefan Janoski, Nike is following up with more styles under the athlete’s name.
The Beaverton, Ore.-based company will release the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Hyperfeel on its website and in select stores on June 30, 2016.
The sneaker, according to the company, is designed to appeal to skaters who want to feel their board underfoot.
“Boardfeel is essential,” said a company statement. “The feet drive everything — direction, speed, flick — and the better the connection to the board, the easier it is to control it and, ultimately, land tricks.”
The new style, simple in aesthetic, also aims to improve the rider’s fit and experience by using a gusseted tongue, new insole and refined outsole.

To improve fit, for instance, Nike added its Lunarlong midsole, which offers thicker cushioning at the heel. The technology, according to the company, is expected to help skaters with their “pop and landing.”
In addition, a hidden gusset in the shoe’s tongue lets riders experience a more socklike fit.
The 36-year-old Janoski signed with Nike soon after it formed its skateboarding brand in 2002. Since then, the skater has designed several signature shoes for the company.
