South Korean brand Thisisneverthat will soon renew its partnership with New Balance through a new collaboration on the latter’s recently reissued 1000 model.

Images of a Thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 collaboration were shared via Parisian retailer Starcow, perhaps prematurely as the product page has now been pulled. But the take down wasn’t enough to stop images from circulating, and now we have a clear glimpse at what’s coming next from the Seoul streetwear brand and the Boston-based athletic footwear imprint.

This duo will keep things simple for their next sneaker, relying on strong color blocking and subtle detailing to generate interest in Thisisneverthat’s vision of New Balance’s retrofuturistic sneaker.

Clad in a metallic silver synthetic which is era-apropos for the model, the Thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 is accented with red and uses a wide mesh material as its base. Two of the eyelets are colored red to match the alignment of the “N” logo and “thisisneverthat” branding is embroidered both tongues and the heel of the right shoe, but the design is otherwise rather reserved for a collaboration.

Originally released in 1999, the New Balance 1000 has been seen in numerous colorways since its April revival courtesy of Joe Freshgoods. Following its reintroduction, the New Balance 1000 has also received collaborations from Aimé Leon Dore and Ronnie Fieg’s Kith

Thisisneverthat is a frequent New Balance collaborator. They partnered for the first time in 2019 for a “Physical Fitness Uniform” colorway of the 997 and have since worked on models including the 827, 2002R, 860v2, 1906R and 550

Release information for the Thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 has not yet been confirmed by either party, but the pair is expected to hit retailers before the end of the year.

Several of 2025’s Most Anticipated Air Jordan Releases Have Been Postponed https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/air-jordan-2025-releases-delayed-1234724403/ Thu, 24 Oct 2024 15:22:34 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234724403

Some of 2025’s most anticipated Air Jordan releases will reportedly be arriving later than originally expected.

According to @brandon1an on X, at least five upcoming ’25 Air Jordan launches have been delayed to later in the year. Pairs included in the push backs include the latest Union x Air Jordan 1, new colorways of the popular Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, men’s and women’s “Rare Air” Air Jordan 1s and the “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4

A specific reason for the postponement wasn’t confirmed, although it’s speculated that the recent delay of another sneaker, the “Black Toe Reimagined” Air Jordan 1, has resulted in the shuffling of other styles. The “Black Toe Reimagined” Air Jordan 1 was originally expected to launch in October and has already arrived at some retailers, but the pair now reportedly won’t see a formal release until February 1.

The new release timeframes for the delayed pairs are as follows. The Union x Air Jordan 1 will move from a February ’25 launch to summer. Instead of being released in March, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4s will also arrive during the summer. Both the men’s and women’s “Rare Air” Air Jordan 1s, which were slated to launch in February and January, respectively, will now be released in the summer. Lastly, the “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4 was originally expected to be released in February, and that pair has also been moved to a summer launch.

While the delayed releases may throw the plans of some sneaker fans into disarray, the good news is that the shoes in question will still be available, only at a later date. Alternatively, it September it was announced that a number of Air Jordans expected to be released during holiday 2024 were canceled altogether.

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Could Actually Be Coming Back Next Year https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/virgil-abloh-off-white-air-jordan-1-2025-aa3834-100-1234723926/ Wed, 23 Oct 2024 15:24:07 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234723926

Virgil Abloh’s most coveted Off-White x Nike collaboration is expected to make a comeback in 2025.

Rumors of a ‘25 Off-White x Air Jordan 1 release have swirled on the internet for weeks, and new details appear to corroborate the early leak. While it seems all but confirmed that an Off-White x Air Jordan 1 will be released next year, the specifics behind the collab’s return to retail remain inconclusive.

Reports indicate that an Off-White x Air Jordan 1 inspired by Abloh’s original sample of the model will arrive during holiday ‘25. The pair is expected to come in a “White/White” colorway reminiscent of the blank canvas used by the late designer while prototyping the collaboration. There’s also a possibility the upcoming style could match the European-exclusive colorway of the sneaker, which was released in 2018.

On the heels of 2017’s “The Ten” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 — which remains one of the most coveted collaborations between Abloh and Nike — the brands revisited the design just a few months later with the launch of the all-white iteration in March 2018. The white pair was strictly exclusive to European retailers and never launched stateside, meaning a potential ‘25 release would be the first time the sneaker was available in the US.

Although it lacks the “Chicago” flair of the “The Ten” colorway, the European-only Off-White x Air Jordan 1 is one of Abloh and Nike’s most desirable designs. Its regional scarcity has led to highly inflated resale prices, and StockX’s 12-month historical data shows that the “White/White” pair has actually been selling for slightly more than the original “The Ten” version over the last year.

Virgil Abloh speaks to press during his “Figures of Speech” exhibition in Doha, Qatar featuring unreleased Off-White x Nike sneakers. Credit: Getty

In ‘17, Abloh revealed that the “The Ten” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 was originally planned to be all-white. During the design process, Abloh saw someone wearing white Nike Dunks at the airport and changed his mind, deciding that the all-white versions of the models would potentially look too similar.

“I couldn’t tell if they were [Nike] Dunks or Jordans,” Abloh said. The lightbulb went off in my head: What makes the shoes iconic is the colorway. That’s when I was like, I almost made a mistake.”

Thus, the red, white and black “Chicago”-inspired pair ended up being the debut Off-White x Air Jordan 1, but the all-white theme was revisited shortly thereafter with the Europe release.

“People would have been like, ‘It’s cool, it’s just experimental. We’ve seen too many colorways of too many shoes; it’s not interesting,’” Abloh said of the sneaker’s original white-on-white look. “The shoe would have totally missed the mark.”

It remains to be seen exactly which Off-White x Air Jordan 1 will be released in ‘25, but for now, a “White/White” colorway with a style code of AA3834-100 is scheduled to arrive during the holiday season.

How Bad Bunny’s New Leo Messi Adidas Collab Showcases the Hitmaker’s Evolving Designs https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/bad-bunny-adidas-design-updates-messi-collab-1234723071/ Mon, 21 Oct 2024 19:41:00 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234723071

Though Bad Bunny and Leo Messi are modern superstars, their collaborative collection with Adidas is inspired by products of times past.

On Monday, after leaks circulated on social media, Adidas has revealed the highly-anticipated upcoming project between the hitmaker and the soccer icon. The collection is inspired from Adidas heritage models, materials and colorways, and features two silhouettes: the Gazelle, a favorite of Bad Bunny, and the F50 cleat, which Messi has long worn on the pitch.

Bad Bunny, Leo Messi, Adidas Gazelle, F50, soccer cleat
The Bad Bunny x Leo Messi x Adidas Gazelle (L) and F50 cleat.

Both silhouettes include Bad Bunny and Messi’s signatures on the Three Stripe branding, which Adidas said symbolizes “their mutual respect and enduring legacy,” as well as the inscription “Bad Bunny Para Messi” on the tongue. Also, they feature both the brand’s Trefoil and Badge of Sport logos.

Adidas also employed gold hues, which serve as a nod to the Ballon d’Or, the award given to soccer’s best player that Messi has won several times, as well as an “X” stripe heel that references his No. 10 jersey number.

“Messi’s last name has become its own word, a synonym for greatness, courage and heart,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “Watching him play with the passion he does is a privilege. I compare the love he feels for his country and his sport to the love I feel for music and Puerto Rico. Collaborating with him is an honor that so many people dream of and I never even imagined I could achieve it. Today, I feel so grateful to be able to represent our culture with the GOAT.”

Speaking with FN, design director of Adidas collaborations and partnerships Raf Mayorga — who is the design director for the Bad Bunny partnership — offered insight into the packaging the collaboration will come in.

“When we went to the archive with the Bunny team last year, there’s an archive for even our boxes. Everything is archived,” Mayorga told FN. “We saw this beautiful box from the ’60s or ’70s that had Adidas punched out on the side and thought that’s a cool detail to bring into our new packaging approach. And all of the apparel are hung in these really cool Tyvek bags. So how do we bring the archive to the consumer? To the Bad Bunny fan? That’s why there’s his interpretation of a Tyvek bag in the in the packaging, as a hint to the archive.”

Adidas is opening sign-ups to purchase the collection on Oct. 21 via the Confirmed and Adidas apps, and it will be available in Adidas flagship stores on Oct. 26.

New Design Language

Teaming up with Messi isn’t the lone reason Bad Bunny’s latest collaboration with Adidas looks a bit different. In fact, the artist’s past few collabs have offered fans a glimpse at what future projects with the Three Stripes will look like.

“As Benito’s music continues to evolve, his level of artistry gets pushed in different directions, and we’re there to capture his voice with where he’s going creatively. Ultimately, it boils down to he’s evolving, so we evolve as well,” Mayorga explained. “What he wants to say, the stories he wants to shine a light on through his music, through his craft, we do the same on the footwear side.”

This includes, according to Mayorga, the reduced use of the eyeball on the collaborations and the phasing out of the bunny logo. Instead, Bad Bunny is opting for “cleaner” identifiers, such as a wordmark.

The wordmark approach was first seen in June, when “Gazelle” was replaced with “San Juan” on the lateral side of the tonal blue Gazelle Indoor “San Juan” collaboration, and then again in September when “Benito” replaced “Gazelle” on the off-white iteration of the shoe.

Bad Bunny, Adidas Gazelle Indoor, San Juan, collaboration
The Bad Bunny x Adidas Gazelle “San Juan” (L) and the Gazelle Indoor.

“We are keeping some of the design markers, the double tongue and things like that, and flipping things and putting things where they shouldn’t be,” Mayorga said. “And we have a few little hidden features on the shoe. We have an updated bandera label, as we’re calling it, on the top tongue. Also, when we take an existing Adidas element of the shoe, we flip it and try to give it a new context. It’s the subtleties that we that we look for. There are little twists and turns to the product that hint at the Bad Bunny partnership.”

Although he stated there’s not much he could share about upcoming Bad Bunny collaborations, Mayorga offered a few hints as to what potentially could be ahead for 2025.

“What you’ll probably see are his fingerprints and his twist on things without actually showing you. You’ll see us going into different categories and things that are more disruptive and really are genuine and authentic to him,” Mayorga said. “That’s the beauty of working with a partner like Benito. You can authentically touch different spaces and contribute to those categories, whether it’s running or any other sport. You have the opportunity to do it in a new way.”

Adidas Made the Perfect Samba Collaboration for Formal Events https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/atmos-adidas-samba-tuxedo-ih3364-1234723401/ Mon, 21 Oct 2024 19:22:16 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234723401

At this point, there isn’t much ground the iconic Adidas Samba hasn’t covered. It’s been draped in lace and croc, turned into house slippers, given premium made-in-Italy upgrades and more. Now, the shoe’s getting a black-tie update courtesy of Japanese retailer Atmos.

Clad in black and silver, Atmos’ take on the 1950s indoor soccer shoe is about as formal as it gets. With minimal branding, the Atmos x Adidas Samba instead focuses on color and craftsmanship. Its shiny silver material is an Italian leather, while the black portions use patent leather for a thoroughly glossy look. Silver lace tips add contrast to the black shoelaces that come in the collaboration.

The only outward-facing logo found on the shoe is the Samba’s standard Adidas tongue branding. Elsewhere, the Samba’s signature side foil stamp has been removed completely, giving the shoes an added touch of elegance. Inside, Atmos’ logo is juxtaposed with the Adidas Trefoil symbol along with “designed by Tokyo” text.

The Atmos x Adidas Samba “Tuxedo” is priced at 18,700 Japanese yen, which converts to roughly $124 as of publishing. In comparison, Adidas’ recently released made-in-Italy Samba was retailed at $350.

While this is the official retail release of the Atmos x Adidas Samba “Tuxedo,” it’s not the first chance people have had to purchase the sneaker collab. It debuted at Adidas Con by Atmos in September, where pairs were sold in limited quantities.

Atmos’ drawing for the “Tuxedo” Adidas Samba collaboration is open now through Oct. 25 via atmos-tokyo.com with winners announced on Oct. 26. The terms of Atmos’ raffle state that it only accepts orders from Japanese residents, but it’s possible that the sneakers will be released from global retailers soon.

K-Way Taps Into Mountaineering Style with Diemme Footwear and Apparel Collab https://footwearnews.com/fashion/collaborations/k-way-diemme-mountaineering-footwear-apparel-collab-1234722388/ Mon, 21 Oct 2024 04:01:00 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234722388 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Footwear News may receive an affiliate commission.

In a sign that fashion’s fascination for mountaineering style is still going strong, K-Way has unveiled a collaboration with hiking boot specialist Diemme.

The outdoorsy capsule collection features apparel and footwear, the latter modeled after Diemme’s signature Grappa Hiker design to match the ready-to-wear offering.

Among the key items in the apparel lineup: a padded vest with chevron quilting, a hooded windbreaker and parachute pants with cargo pockets. The captivating color palette is dominated by aubergine and khaki with zingy orange accents. The Diemme hiking sneakers come in coordinated colorways.

The collection — available at both brands’ e-commerce sites, as well as at select K-Way stores — is flanked by a dedicated ad campaign shot by Danish photographer Betty Krag. She followed friend Konrad Eilenberger on a city tour.

K-Way is not new to collaborations, having turned them into a pillar of its lifestyle ethos. Previous tie-ups included Saint Laurent, Fendi, Comme des Garçons Play, No. 21 and Dsquared2, among others.

In addition to the first collaboration with K-Way, Diemme renewed its partnership with Outerwear company Ten C, debuting a new style. The Anterselva boot is crafted from leather and the patented OJJ textile.

Modeled after Diemme’s Rosset hiking boot, it is available at about 45 retailers and both brands’ e-shops. This marks the second collaboration between the two labels, which last year unveiled a co-branded iteration of the Roccia Vet hiking boots.

For their fourth collaboration, the brands have come together to create two colorways — “Brown Full Grain” and “Black Full Grain” — of the Mid Lace-Up GTX Boot for the fall, a fresh take on Timberland’s Heritage Moc Toe silhouette. According to a statement, this marks the first time the Timberland GTX Heritage Moc Toe style has been re-released since its introduction in 1991.

The uppers of the boots are constructed using premium full grain leather. More specifically, the brown look is embossed with a crocodile texture, whereas the black features a stingray emboss. Both boots include peccary-embossed nubuck collars that are accented by a soft, hairy suede.

How an Iconic Bridge in Cincinnati Inspired One of Unheardof’s Most Personal Adidas Collabs Yet https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/unheardof-adidas-rivalry-low-building-bridges-release-date-1234721216/ Thu, 17 Oct 2024 19:29:37 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234721216

Philip Lipschutz is ready to share the third chapter of his story.

Joining forces with Adidas for the first time in 2023, Lipschutz, founder of Cincinnati-based sneaker boutique Unheardof, delivered two of the year’s most compelling collaborations, both of which reimagined the Rivalry Low silhouette.

The first, which debuted in June, featured the poetry of his late sister, Erika Deuschle, who sadly committed suicide in 2005. He followed in November with “Grandma’s Couch,” an act of gratitude for his beloved grandmother, Naomi Phillips.

Using Adidas’ signature Three Stripes as a vehicle to share the stories of three women, Lipschutz opted for a more figurative approach for the third. The latest collaborative look is a tribute to his adopted home, Cincinnati, also known as the Queen City.

The result is the Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low “Building Bridges.”

‘Dear Brooklyn, You’re Welcome’

Philip Lipschutz, New York City, Unheardof, Adidas Rivalry Low, sneaker, collaboration
Philip Lipschutz in New York City with the Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low “Building Bridges” collaboration.

At the start of the month, Lipschutz and his content team from Cincinnati traveled to New York City to tease the upcoming Adidas collaboration. Promotional posters were wheatpasted throughout the city, and a billboard was posted on South Street.

The imagery included the shoe, as well as the words, “Dear Brooklyn, You’re Welcome.” They also featured the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, which connects Cincinnati with Covington, Ky.

Though the connection might not be immediately apparent, the ties between the Cincinnati bridge and Brooklyn are strong. Roebling, a designer and builder of wire rope suspension bridges, completed his project in Cincinnati in 1867, which would then serve as a prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge.

Growing up in a broken home in Latonia, a neighborhood in Covington, the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge was a symbol of hope for Lipschutz, and a portal to a new and better world.

“I’ve seen so much negativity and ugliness in life, and when we skated down the street and up to the bridge and I saw it for the first time, it blew me away how beautiful it was,” Lipschutz said. “I definitely wasn’t in school learning about it because I was skipping school everyday skateboarding, but as soon as I rolled up and saw that bridge, it changed my life forever.”

He continued, “Everybody loves this Brooklyn Bridge, but if they knew about the Roebling bridge, I feel like they would love that, too.”

Aside from his beloved bridge, New York holds a special place with Lipschutz, in part to his first “Erika’s Poem” Rivalry Low collaboration. To promote the shoe, which featured her poetry on the uppers, he wheatpasted posters that also included her words throughout the city.

“I wanted to put her artwork all over New York City because I spent the last 12 or 13 years studying why people go to New York and put their artwork up, why small rock bars will have Bob Dylan or Van Halen show up for a set,” Unheardof said. “I wanted people to read Erika’s poetry in a really organic, unique way that no one has seen in marketing. I also wanted to show brands that I could prove that Cincinnati was special.”

The reception from the Big Apple, as described by Lipschutz, was incredible.

“I felt the love and embrace of real, true New Yorkers, those that didn’t move there from Idaho or Nashville,” Lipschutz said with a laugh. “The people that were born and bred, New York or die, came up to me and told me how beautiful her words are and how amazing the shoes are.”

Children’s Story

Philip Lipschutz, New York City, Unheardof, Adidas Rivalry Low, sneaker, collaboration
The Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low “Building Bridges.”

For his third Adidas collaboration, in addition to honoring the bridge that led him to a better life, Lipschutz wanted to connect another place near and dear to him: the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.

“The [patients there] have behavioral health issues, mental health issues. They’re just kids that are constantly being told you’ve got a zero percent chance at life, which is what people basically told me growing up,” Lipschutz said of kids at the home, which sits on a hill with a clear view of the bridge. “I want to bring them along some way, some how. Tell them the truth. Tell them hard work pays off, you really got to bust your a–.”

Lipschutz’s first experience at the home came at the age of three when his mother, Marcia Wehrman-Deuschle, who he said had a litany of mental health and drug-related issues, dropped him off at the door during a manic episode. Eventually, she and his grandmother would pick him back up. Before they arrived, workers at the home helped calm him down.

In the years since, Lipschutz and Unheardof has provided shoes to the home, and every year they throw a Halloween party for the patients. And interestingly, he’s also asked them to help with the designs of his collaborations.

“When I did Erika’s shoe, I brought all the kids from the Children’s Home to her art show that we put on at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati. I told them if they helped me design a shoe that I would make it. This is the shoe for them,” he said. “I gave them all like blank shoe templates, a bunch of colored pencils and Sharpies and paint. I asked them if you could design a shoe, what would it mean? They started telling tons of stories.”

He continued, “Their counselors said this is the most they’ve ever opened up. I still stay in contact with some of those kids and counselors.”

Lipschutz said proceeds of this collaboration’s release will go to the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, which will also be given 200 pairs of shoes, so that not only will every kid currently there have a pair, but kids who will be there in the future will have one as well.

Long Live the Queen

Philip Lipschutz, New York City, Unheardof, Adidas Rivalry Low, sneaker, collaboration
A detailed look at the Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low “Building Bridges” collaboration.

Unheardof’s third chapter with Adidas is replete with nods to the John A. Roebling Bridge and the area around it.

This can be seen in the uppers, which resemble the stones that were used to construct the landmark, including the Buena Vista freestone that was cut from a hillside 70 miles east. Plus, the blue suede on the Three Stripes branding was used as a nod to the Roebling Blue hue of the bridge, and the translucent foam green outsole was employed to resemble the Ohio River that the structure crosses. Finally, the Adidas logo on the tongue resembles the shape of the Ohio flag.

On top of all this, the collab also introduces a new character, Captain Piggy, which is inspired by steamboat captains (and also serves as a nod to Cincinnati’s pork industry history). The character appears on the heel, the insoles (skateboarding on the Serpentine Wall, a favorite Cincinnati skate spot of Lipschutz as a kid) and the hangtag.

“Because of my appearance and the clothes I wore and the shoes I had, the first nickname I was given was ‘Pork Chop.’ I’ve never forgotten what that’s like to constantly be called a name every day and go to school and being told your shoes suck or you dress bad,” Lipschutz said. “Captain Piggy symbolizes all of us who were told you can’t do it, those that are being made fun of, and now we’re the captain of the boat.”

The Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low “Building Bridges” collaboration arrives Oct. 25 via Unheardofbrand.com, and is limited to 1,000 pairs. It will retail for $165.

Axel Arigato Collaborates with Kenny Scharf on Hallucinogenic Collection https://footwearnews.com/fashion/collaborations/axel-arigato-collaborates-with-kenny-scharf-1234722108/ Thu, 17 Oct 2024 14:45:40 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234722108 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Footwear News may receive an affiliate commission.

Axel Arigato has partnered with Californian artist Kenny Scharf on a capsule collection.

Scharf’s hallucinogenic cartoons — smirking smiley faces, a psychedelic American flag, ghoulish apparitions in poppy shades of green, purple, and fuschia — are printed across the 9-piece collection, which includes sweatshirts, sneakers, T-shirts, and a bomber jacket.

The collection’s laidback feel lends itself to those who want to “Wear your art every day,” as the artist said of the collection.

The launch comes on the heels of Axel Arigato’s first U.S. store, which opened on Sept. 20 in New York. Located in SoHo, the new 1,130 sq.-ft. space showcases the 10-year-old Swedish footwear brand’s best-selling sneakers including the Dice, Area and Clean 90 models, as well as select ready-to-wear pieces.

“We have a vision of being truly established in the U.S., but we are laser focused on New York right now,” the brand’s CEO, Albin Johansson, told FN in an interview ahead of the store’s opening.

“We are not interested in opening this store and moving on right away to a new city to open another store,” he said, adding, “We are taking our time to build our roots in the community with a steady series of events this month and throughout the rest of the year.”

To herald the collection, the New York store will host an in-store launch event tonight. The vinyl listening experience, “The Sounds of Kenny,” will highlight the music Scharf listens to when creating his artwork.

“As we launch our first store in New York, working with legendary American artist Kenny Scharf feels symbiotic,” said Jens Werner, Axel Arigato’s creative director.

A Ma Maniére’s Luxurious Nike Air Max 95 Collaboration Comes Out This Month https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/a-ma-maniere-nike-air-max-95-while-you-were-sleeping-release-date-fz8743-200-1234721887/ Wed, 16 Oct 2024 19:11:36 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234721887 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Footwear News may receive an affiliate commission.

The fourth installment of A Ma Maniére’s ongoing “While You Were Sleeping” collaborations with Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse was officially announced today.

Following the launches of the six-sneaker collection’s Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 39 collaborations, the releases will transition to the Nike side of the group beginning with the upcoming Air Max 95. Like the Air Jordan 4, the Air Max 95 will be accompanied by apparel, this time in the form of a A Ma Maniére x Nike varsity jacket.

Detailed images of the A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Max 95 “While You Were Sleeping” reveal the sneaker’s premium materials in all their glory. Using a mix of “Dark Violet Ore/Burgundy Ash,” the earth tone look combines tumbled leather, smooth leather, nubuck and perforated nubuck for a luxe spin on the usually sporty retro sneaker. There’s none of the mesh or synthetic suede the Air Max 95 is known for — even the shoe’s signature lace-loop eyelets have been swapped for a more traditional lacing system.

A Ma Maniére branding is peppered throughout the Air Max 95, notably on the tongue and with a large “A” on the heel, but there are also more subtle references to The Whitaker Group-owned brand. “A Ma Maniére” is embroidered at the toe, while its repeating “A” monogram pattern can be seen on the outsole’s transparent window. Additionally, it appears that the pattern has been woven into the backside of the tongue. The sneakers will come with alternate lace options and housed in special packaging.

Meanwhile, the A Ma Maniére x Nike varsity jacket features a black body with white leather sleeves, co-branding throughout and “While You Were Sleeping” script on the right chest. The jacket is priced at $600.

The A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Max 95 “While You Were Sleeping” will be released Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. ET from a-ma-maniere.com for a retail price of $190. It will also be available from A Ma Maniére, Social Status and APB physical locations with draws taking place Oct. 24 from 1 pm to 6 pm local time.
