Lionel Messi‘s personalized Adidas Samba sneakers released this week and will soon be followed up by a variant made for his Inter Miami team.
The Inter Miami x Adidas Samba will release in June as a Foot Locker-exclusive alongside a special edition of the Gazelle. Both sneakers take on the famous unofficial colors of South Beach, pink and teal, which always comes as welcomed news for sneakerheads.
White leather dresses the Samba’s upper, as teal forms the striping and pink the mustache. The T-bar arrives in its familiar grey suede while a stalwart translucent gum cupsole also makes a return. On the tongue tag, you’ll find Inter Miami’s logo stamped in teal.
Inter Miami’s Gazelle is more color forward by taking on a teal suede upper with white stripes. The mustache, tongue and lining make use of pink leather to go along with matching laces. A retro “Miami” print also appears on the mustache, and rounding out the shoe is a white sole.

Teal and pink have been used somewhat frequently by Miami’s sport franchises but their most notable appearance came on the Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” from 2010. The “Miami Vice”-esque sneaker released in 2010 to much fanfare in commemoration of LeBron James’ move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat. A reissue of the shoe then came in 2021.
The Inter Miami x Adidas Samba and Gazelle release June 15 exclusively through Foot Locker. The Samba is priced at $1000 and the Gazelle at $110.
