Right in time for peak slippers season, Crocs just restocked its fan-favorite, TikTok-viral Cozzzy shearling slippers in three new adorable colorways for fall.
The Crocs Classic Cozzzy Slippers are the best blend between the comfy underfoot cushioning of Crocs Classic Clogs (one of Footwear News’ Greatest Shoes of All Time) and an ultra-plush slipper. Faux fur shearling wraps the entire shoe, with fuzzy toe-to-heel footbed lining that insulates heat — perfect for cold mornings when your piggies are in need of a blanket. The brand’s beloved sink-in footbed and recovery slide-caliber support come extra soft and warm in this shoe, while rubber outsole pods grip slick surfaces (like chilly hardware floors and bathroom tiles) for added stability. Plus, you’ll recognize Crocs’ signature backstrap which offers more foot security than a typical slipper.
Although the brand doesn’t recommend these cozy warm clogs for the great outdoors, you can certainly take these Crocs shoes for a spin to the mailbox or around the block to walk your dog (just be mindful of mud and puddles). Available in five stylish colorways, including three new “Hot Blush,” “Mushroom,” and “Black,” shearling iterations, they’re ideal for adding bliss to early mornings and snuggling up on the couch in front of a movie. And who wouldn’t love to receive these women’s and men’s slippers as a cozy gift this holiday season?
Retailing for $49.99, the new Crocs Classic Cozzzy Slippers are now available in men’s sizing from 4 to 13, and women’s 6 to 12. You’ll want to snag a pair for yourself and someone special ASAP, because shoes this cute are bound to sell out.

With Mother’s Day this weekend, the gifting stakes are at an all-time high. You want to treat the Wonder Woman in your life to something really special that she’ll actually use and love, but it’s tricky to know where to start. If you’re searching for a sure-bet gift for mom, always go with a simple luxury that she likely wouldn’t buy for herself — like the supremely soft and stylish women’s slippers from Bombas. Bombas Ballet Slippers have been on my radar for months, ever since a fellow Footwear News Shop editor raved about them over the holiday season, so I had to test them out for myself before I give a pair to my mom this May.
Besides Bombas’ best-selling socks for women and men, the brand is beloved for its top-quality slipper selection from the cult-favorite Gripper Slippers to the Sunday Slippers, of which have earned a combined 60 million views and searches TikTok. One of the newest additions to the lineup are the Bombas Ballet Slippers, a distinctly chic style that’s dressed in a soft wool-cashmere blend, and features supple, double-layered underfoot cushioning. It’s a particular standout for spring and summer because, unlike other Bombas slippers, it boasts an any-season design that’s especially lightweight and breathable, so it’ll keep you cozy any time of year without overheating your feet.
The contemporary silhouette of the Ballet Slippers caught my eye because it instantly reminded me of similar shapes that have been trending in designer footwear, like The Row’s Sock Flats or Khaite’s glove-like Ballerina Flats. The no-nonsense profile reads refined and minimalistic, and adds an unexpected air of elegance to the naturally casual slipper. They come in two colorways to suit any loungewear aesthetic: A rich “Plum Night Heather,” which feels especially fashionable amid deep burgundy color trends, and a soft beige “Oatmeal Heather” that’s sure to please any mom, wife, or woman in your life.
At just $60, Bombas’ spa-like Ballet Slippers are an indulgence worthy of your loved ones, whether you’re looking to spoil your mom, grandmother, or even a bride-to-be who will adore their cushy feel while they get glammed on their big day. If you’re unsure about her exact shoe size, Bombas also makes it super easy with size range fits that feel snug on different widths and half sizing.
Plus, one of the biggest perks about purchasing from Bombas is its one to one initiative, which donates one pair of slippers with each order you place, whether to shelters, transitional living facilities, rehabilitation centers, schools, or medical service professionals. So, you’re really gifting two pairs for the price of one — a win-win for everyone!
Read on for our comprehensive review of the Bombas Ballet Slippers below, and why one editor has already tied them in a bow for her mom to enjoy with her breakfast in bed on May 12.
For starters, the ordering process at Bombas.com is a dream. After I added my items to the cart, it directed me to a check out page that linked with my Shop Pay account (it’s free to sign up). This populated my preferred shipping address, payment info, and detailed the shipping speed (five to eight business days for my location). I had the option to add a gift message to my order, which I’ll be doing when I order my Mother’s Day gift at Bombas! My shipment arrived to me in mint condition, and one day earlier than predicted.
When I first removed the Bombas Ballet Slippers from their dust bag, I was instantly struck by how lightweight they felt in my hand. I couldn’t wait to slip them on — but I did have some initial hesitation. While I adore the chic, minimalist design of the slipper, I was weary that its wool-cashmere blend uppers would be heavy, scratchy, or simply too warm to wear in the summer months. But, once they got on my feet, my worries melted away. The sweater-like fabric is actually incredibly thin, soft, and breathable, with a lot of flexible room to layer Bombas socks for a double-doze of coziness. The slipper’s fit feels like a hug for your feet, with just enough snugness to hold secure at the ankle without feeling stiff or constricting.
My typical shoe size falls between a 7.5 and 8 depending on the shoe brand, and I found the 7-8 slipper to fit true to size, with enough room to wiggle my toes. Throughout the one-month testing period, I padded around my apartment in these slippers while I got ready in the early morning before work and in the evenings while winding down from the day, and they’ve quickly become a go-to within my extensive slipper collection. They’re a standout for their plush footbed that feels like walking on clouds (even over my cold hardwood floors), without feeling bulky like other slippers I own, and their lightweight design feels practically nonexistent on the feet — as if I were just wearing regular socks with super cushy padding.
Keep in mind that the sole is very soft, so it lacks stiff arch support that those with high arches or plantar fasciitis may need, but they’re perfect if you’re simply wearing them around your home. It’s also important to consider their lack of traction, besides a sueded outsole, so, while I can attest they don’t slip on slick surfaces, I would not recommend them for outdoor wear. The Bombas Ballet Slippers are a great swap for fuzzy insulated slippers you’d save for the winter months, but it’s also worth noting that the wool-cashmere blend of the upper does trap some heat. For me, however, this is a plus no matter the season, since my feet always run cold. Your feet won’t be left hot and sweaty in these, but they’ll surely make your feet feel super cozy, as any ideal slipper should.
All in all, the Bombas Ballet Slippers are an incredible value for the price. They feel and look impressively elevated, and I can already tell their high-quality construction will last me many years of wear. And, since they’re easy to fold, they make for comfy — not frumpy! — travel shoes you can slip on during a flight or wear around the hotel without feeling candidly casual.
The elegant design makes them a uniquely dressed-up version of the lazy day staple, whether you’re snuggled up in sweats in front of the TV or hosting friends for an at-home brunch in your favorite silk pajama set. Trust us, you’ve never seen — or felt — a slipper quite as luxurious as these.

Finding the best kids’ slippers involves a thoughtful balance of comfort, safety, and style. In the world of children’s footwear, the best slippers for kids go beyond mere aesthetics, even though little animals and fun prints are adorable. It’s important to take into account factors like sizing, materials, support, and durability.
Double board-certified podiatrist Dr. Audey Nassar explains that in an extensive slipper market, it’s important to find high-quality children’s slippers, as low-quality slippers can cause discomfort and increase the risk of slips and falls. “Poorly made slippers often lack proper support for the arches, potentially leading to lasting foot issues,” he says. “You don’t need to spend a ton of money, but beware of construction and materials when buying kids’ slippers. Poorly constructed slippers wear out quickly, becoming unsafe, and ill-fitting slippers can cause foot pain and alter a child’s walking pattern.”
Some brands that Nassar suggests looking into for supportive slippers for kids include Garnet Hill, Bombas, The North Face, and a cult-favorite for men’s slippers and women’s slippers, L.L.Bean. All of these brands carry comfortable, warm, and cute slippers that will make kids want to wear their slippers inside and outside the house.
Parents seeking the ideal pair for their little ones should prioritize a secure fit and non-slip soles so that fast little feet don’t slip or trip on surfaces. Kids’ slippers should ensure safety and convenience, with a touch of style so that they enjoy wearing them, and they’re not left to collect dust under the couch.
From first-time walkers to experienced cruisers, Nassar, along with some tiny testers, helped us find the best kids’ slippers on the market.
When it comes to finding the best pair of slippers for kids, there are several factors to consider to ensure comfort, safety, and durability. Here are some key aspects to look for:

Winter boots have long been considered a rite of passage for cold-weather days. But in 2023, an old style is coming in hot as the must-wear silhouette. It’s the Ugg slipper: a chic and comfortable slip-on style that can worn at home with cute sweatpants or on the street with trousers. And the best Amazon Ugg slippers will have you covered for all your needs.
Amazon is a seamless place to shop for Ugg slippers and so much more, especially for Prime members. First, Amazon’s ability to turn orders around in two days means shoppers can peruse all options as they please without waiting long before receiving them. Even better, many Ugg slippers on Amazon are part of the Try Before You Buy program.
Amazon’s selection of Ugg’s is expansive. The brand has a dedicated storefront on Amazon, which includes everything from the viral Tasman and Tazz to the timeless Coquette and Ansley styles. However, to find the best styles, look for five-star reviews, Amazon’s Choice badges, and best-seller notes — items that check those boxes outperform others in the slippers category.
And speaking of the retailer, Amazon’s October Prime Day, also known as Prime Big Deal Days, is rapidly approaching. Rumor has it that a plethora of Ugg slipper alternatives — including many on this list — will be seriously discounted for the sales event. And let’s be honest, everyone could use a slipper refresh ahead of the cold-weather season — especially when on major sale. If last year’s Prime Day is anything to go by, you’ll find many customer-loved, highly-rated slippers from Dearfoams, Cushionaire, Donapapa, and more. And while you’re browsing in October, don’t forget about all the Amazon fashion sales and other Amazon shoe deals, too.
With fashion embracing the fact that “everything old is new again,” it makes sense that the comfortable women’s slippers popularized in the aughts era are back. Industry veterans, fashion insiders, and celebs are all embracing Ugg slippers. Jennifer Lopez has been seen sporting hers while on set to keep her feet comfortable between takes, while model Elsa Hosk opted for a mini skirt paired with a polo sweater. Even Addison Rae recently stepped out in Ugg’s Coquette slippers that she styled with gym socks, a sports bra, and workout shorts. But that’s not all — TikTok’s Gen-Z is embracing Ugg slippers, which can be seen by the 448 million views — and counting — on TikTok.
So, if you’re in the market for new Ugg slippers, plush women’s walking shoes that look like Ugg slippers, or want to gift a pair to any man or woman on your holiday shopping list, keep scrolling because we’ve rounded up some of our favorite styles, including some helpful facts and figures.

Prime Big Deal Days is the fall installment of Amazon’s Prime Day 2023 sales extravaganza, which will occur in October. It’s an exclusive period that offers limited-time price drops on thousands of products across Amazon, including Amazon fashion essentials, like all of the best women’s slippers. Prime members across 19 countries — Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the U.S., and the UK — will be able to participate in Prime Big Deal Days.
Prime Day only happens twice a year, with October Prime Day being the last installment of 2023, so it’s an ideal time to stock up on your cozy footwear for fall and winter or get a head start on holiday shopping while prices are marked down. Amazon always rolls out markdowns ahead of the event, so it’s best to jump on deals early because millions of shoppers will monitor the site and place orders before they sell out.
Besides fast, free shipping, shopping on Amazon has its benefits, like the Prime Try Before You Buy program. This feature allows Prime Members to order select footwear, including Ugg slippers and Ugg slipper alternatives, to try on at home for up to 7 days before they are charged for products they keep.
Shopping for slippers online can be pretty hit or miss, especially if you’ve never tried anything from Ugg or Ugg-like brands before, so the Try Before You Buy option lets you try a few items for free before deciding if you want to keep any. The best part? The program is easy to use. All you have to do is choose up to six eligible items, which you can easily find by shopping in the Try Before You Buy section or looking in product descriptions. Then, once you place an order and your items are shipped out, you have seven days to try the pieces you picked out and decide which ones you want to keep. You’ll only be charged for the products you choose to buy, and returns are always free. It’s a great program to take advantage of when you’re a Prime Member.
If you’re not a Prime Member, it’s not too late to sign up and take advantage of the feature before you buy your Ugg slippers.

What Is Plantar Fasciitis?
Best Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis
Best Insoles for Plantar Fasciitis
Best Stretches for Plantar Fasciitis
If you suffer from foot pain such as plantar fasciitis, walking barefoot (even when you’re lounging at home) can be painful. Fortunately, you can get the support you need and still be comfortable with a pair of the best slippers for plantar fasciitis. There’s nothing like coming home after a long day of work and kicking off your shoes to relax and de-stress, and donning a soft, supportive pair of slippers or house shoes can help.
Plantar fasciitis is a common foot problem, that’s essentially “tiny microtears in the fascia causing inflammation,” says Neha Pathak, a New York City-based podiatrist and head of Universal Footcare. It is characterized by acute heel pain, or tenderness and stiffness along the arch of the foot. The pain may be more intense in the mornings or after being seated for a while. It’s often an overuse injury, so you may experience it after an uptick in exercise, for example. “Abnormal foot biomechanics, increased activity, weight gain, or incorrect shoe gear choices” are other factors that can lead to the common ailment, Pathak notes.
Walking barefoot can aggravate your symptoms, so podiatrists like Pathak advise patients to wear supportive footwear, like walking shoes for plantar fasciitis, as much as possible. This includes wearing slippers for plantar fasciitis when you’re at home. “Biomechanically, shoes and slippers can reduce the amount of your foot flattening out, reduce pronation, provide more shock absorption, and give more support, allowing your foot to work more efficiently”, says Mark Mendeszoon, a podiatrist and spokesperson for the American Podiatric Medical Association. There’s a wide range of house shoes and slippers for plantar fasciitis available, and you can even try insoles for plantar fasciitis in your favorite slippers for added support.
To narrow this list, we consulted with expert podiatrists and searched for well-known, top-rated brands. We evaluated the best slippers for plantar fasciitis based on their arch support, cushioning, and heel stability. We also looked for slippers in a variety of styles, including slippers for women and slippers for men, to suit your every need.
Below are the 13 best slippers for plantar fasciitis that are both supportive and comfy. We promise that wearing these slippers after a busy day will be the best part of your at-home evening routine.

Proper footwear helps with plantar fasciitis treatment, and wearing good, supportive shoes for plantar fasciitis throughout the day is most important. Mendeszoon suggests wearing supportive slippers for short times in the mornings and evenings while relaxing or lounging at home instead of going barefoot. “Comfort and feeling support in your arch and heel are the most important factors when buying a slipper,” he says. Not all slippers are created equal, however. “If you can bend the shoe in half, it is likely unsupportive,” Pathak says. The best slippers for plantar fasciitis will share a lot of the same qualities as running shoes or walking shoes for plantar fasciitis, including:

The best slippers for women are essential closet staples for cozy days spent indoors on cold weather days or daily indoor footwear for completing chores around the house. Women’s house slippers are coming in hot on its heels for 2023 as a trending silhouette, no matter if you’re staying at home in sweats or walking on the city pavements with cropped tailored pants. Thanks to many designers, slippers have been upgraded for a new hybrid lifestyle, where reliable daily comfort meets high style.
An ideal pair of women’s slippers will always include plush cushioning that feels like walking on clouds that won’t collapse over time. Soft and warm materials that don’t rub or irritate the skin are also key in a quality slipper, along with proper breathability that aligns with the climate you live in, and grippy traction to keep you from slipping on various surfaces at home. “We should all avoid walking barefoot at home all the time,” explains New York-based podiatrist Jacqueline Sutera, DPM. “Doing so causes pain and inflammation over time due to lack of support and slow atrophy of the fat pads on the bottom of the feet.”
There’s an endless selection of different slippers to shop that appeal to different uses. Many slippers are well-suited for running errands or walking your dog around the block, because they feature proper foot support and indoor-outdoor friendly traction. Softer, fur-focused styles are best to be worn indoors for cozying up by the fire or packed in your carry-on bag to stay comfy on a long flight. Whether you have flat feet, narrow feet, or high arches, or are looking to treat conditions like bunions, plantar fasciitis, or diabetic symptoms, there are slippers that cater to common foot types and conditions as well.
Since there are endless options to choose from, we’ve done the hard work for you by compiling this comprehensive women’s slipper shopping guide from expert insight, editor-approved product testing, and thorough market research.

Once you’ve found an amazing pair of cozy slippers, chances are you’ll be slipping them on every day for various tasks. It’s important to keep in mind that slippers have an expiration date after long periods of wear and tear, and structural damage may lead to potential slipping or tripping on surfaces both inside and outdoors. Look out for signs of age in the seaming of the upper, toe box tears, and outsole traction erosion. It’s likely that footbed cushioning may deflate over time as well, so make sure to replace your slippers when its foot and arch support has worn down.
If you wear slippers more than any other type of shoe, your slippers could use a cleaning — probably more often than you are currently cleaning them. Since not all slippers are created equal, cleaning and caring for them will look different. For example, cloth fabric, suede, and leather all require their own techniques. Whether you are washing cloth slippers in a washing machine using a warm cycle or spot cleaning, you’ll be eager to clean them more often once you learn the best methods.
Machine Wash: For slippers made of cotton, terry cloth, or polyester fabrics, machine wash them with a load of similar colors and fabrics. Wash in warm water with your regular detergent on a normal cycle.
Hand Wash: If you’re worried about your slippers getting ruined in the washing machine or don’t have access to one, you can also hand wash your shoes. Make sure to put them in the sink in warm water with about one teaspoon of heavy-duty detergent. Allow them to soak for at least 30 minutes, gently squeeze soapy water out, and rinse with fresh water.
Air Dry: Whether you choose to hand or machine wash, all slippers should be air dried. This is because the high heat from drying machines can cause the soles to become distorted and any glues used in construction to dissolve. To ensure your slippers hold their shape, stuff them with paper towels or tissue paper while they air dry.
House Slippers: If you suffer from foot fatigue, then house slippers are for you. Not only do they help you invest in comfort, but also the cleanliness of your home. It’s important to note that there’s an entire world of soft, supportive slippers tailored to your tastes. From designers such as Ugg and Birkenstock to Parachute, each provides lasting relief while looking fashionable.
Shearling Slippers: Crafted with extra-cozy genuine sheep’s fur, usually in the slipper lining. (Ugg undoubtedly makes one of the most popular styles.)
Open-Toe Slippers: Treat your toes to some extra wiggle room with an open-toe option. They’re cozy and warm without making your feet sweat, but if you need extra warmth, you can always pair them with tube socks. These easy on-off shoes are ideal for warmer climates, more fashionable than functional, and available in various materials such as plush faux fur and velvet. Look to minimalist-loved labels such as Apparis and The Row for a last-minute gift for the shoe lover on your list.
Orthopedic Slippers: Orthopedic shoe brands may have a bad fashion reputation; however, the selection of stylish orthopedic shoes, such as orthopedic sandals and slippers, has expanded. Orthopedic slippers include a cushioned insole that’s often contoured for extra arch support and helps equally disperse body weight.
Camping Slippers: Comfortable and reliable footwear is a must when taking on the great outdoors. Luckily, there are campaign slippers to provide support, insulation, and protection for whatever mother nature may throw at you. They’re commonly waterproof and lightweight; however, when buying camping slippers — and any type of camping shoe —you should consider where you’ll be camping most of the time. Look to brands like The North Face and Sorel for reliable options that keep your feet dry and warm no matter the condition and terrain.
Indoor-Outdoor Slippers: The versatile indoor-outdoor slipper is best for those always on the go-to. You can wear them around the house and when rushing out to meet your friend for coffee. They feature the supple material of all cozy slippers with a sturdy, treaded sole found on outdoor slippers.
Bootie Slippers: Days that call for a movie in front of the fireplace call for slipper boots. These are usually fully lined and cover the ankle, offering ultra heat and a nonslip sole. Some feature cable knit material and chenille or faux fur as the upper for style and warmth. The bootie slipper has been all over the streets, with our favorite street-goers supporting brands like Ugg, Mou, and Isabel Marant.
Designer Slippers: Indulge in a bit of self-care by investing in a luxurious pair of slippers. The designer takes on the silhouette are expertly crafted with top-tier materials like genuine leather, plush, and suede and adorned with meticulous details like logo jacquard. Whether you opt for ones from Prada, Balenciaga, or Olivia von Halle you’ll bask in timeless designs that never go out of style.
Slipper Socks: Slipper socks are a hybrid between socks and slippers. They’re for those who prefer more support than socks since they have non-slip grippers or non-skid soles, making walking around on hard floors easier. Most have a soft, thick interior to protect feet from the cold.
Just like your stylish loafers, most comfortable walking shoes, or your go-to winter boots, you expect your slippers to check off all the important boxes, too — and rightfully so. However, with endless options of slippers on the market today, you need to consider a few things to find your perfect match. “Slippers come in [a range of different] styles such as moccasins, slides, and thongs. Women should buy the style they prefer while choosing supportive slippers — not thin, flimsy ones,” Sutera says.
Regardless of your foot type or condition, the key to a supportive slipper is its cushy comfort. Silicon Valley-based podiatrist Najwa Javed, says that, in general, “slippers with soft uppers and solid soles are the best.” You’ll find maximum stability with slippers that have adjustable straps or snug uppers for a secure fit. It’s also important that it’s constructed with soft material to avoid painful rubbing as you walk.
“For those who have foot pain and who stand on hard floors for long periods of time, I would recommend a cushioned, thicker sole with arch support and a ‘heel to toe drop’ (the heel is thicker than the forefoot),” added Sutera. “A slipper with these features will cushion and absorb shock from body weight and gravity pushing down when standing.” If you’re in need of some extra arch support, on the other hand, don’t rely on insoles and padding alone. “Look for slippers that already have a built-in arch. Putting an arch, insole, or pad in a flat slipper doesn’t work as well.”

Before and after rocking the halftime show for the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Rihanna turned to the coziest slippers to give her feet some TLC — and the Savage x Fenty slippers she wore are on sale today.
The much-anticipated February 12 performance marked the icon’s return to the stage after nearly seven years, and the singer made it count. During her performance, Rihanna managed to squeeze in a dozen of her hits, took a quick on-stage pause for a powder brush-up as a shout out to her Fenty makeup line, and, most notably, revealed that she is pregnant with her second child. During her time away from the stage, she’s been busy building her Fenty brands, so it makes sense that she called on the help of her Savage x Fenty CLF Fluff’d Up slippers to help her kick back in style.
On stage, the “Umbrella” singer rocked a custom bright red Loewe outfit, which was styled by Jahleel Weaver and accessorized with Fenty Beauty (obviously), as well as a fiery pair of MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Low-Cross Sneakers. That said, her outfit backstage was notable, too, and we were able to check it out thanks to an Instagram post from Colombian singer-songwriter Karol G. It’s safe to say that the fuzzy Savage x Fenty CLF Fluff’d Up Slippers were the perfect choice for helping Rihanna rest her feet before and after her performance.
The slippers feature soft faux fur crossover straps for an open-toe and non-restrictive fit that caters well to expecting moms. The cushioned style also makes these a supportive slipper for those with plantar fasciitis. While Rihanna opted for the light pink version, they’re available in three other colors, including black, hot pink, and lavender. Each color features a firm sole (comparable to that of a comfortable pair of women’s flats) with the Fenty logo design. They come in sizes 6 through 12, however many of sizes are nearly sold out, so make sure you grab a pair fast.
They’re also 50 percent off for VIPs, which is a subscription that allows you to choose Fenty products each month for $59.95. Regardless of if you’re ready to hop on the membership train, it’s pretty rare to find a pair of slippers that are as stylish as they are cozy — and even rarer to find all of those qualities in a celeb-loved pair of slippers.
