Joey King walked the red carpet on Thursday in Los Angeles at the premiere of “We Were The Lucky Ones” at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, wearing a pair of Prada‘s high-heeled satin sandals.
The actress wore the brand’s peep-toe heels in a pearl gray colorway. The shoes are also available in a black satin adorned with the same design details.
A fan of experimenting with new footwear styles, King has used her previous red carpet experiences to play with unique shoe silhouettes, colorways and textiles. Most recently, the actress was seen wearing a pair of nude Andrea Wazen pumps to the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards in January of this year. The pointed-toe heels, elevated at an estimated 3 inches, were constructed from a sheer nude netting, revealing the skin underneath and highlighting the contrasting leather finish.

About the Shoes
The Prada high-heeled satin sandals are elevated with a 1.5-inch platform and a 5-inch block heel, both covered in the same creamy satin shade as the rest of the shoe. Additionally, the peep-toe pumps are adorned with a logo-engraved metal buckle, enameled metal triangle logo and rubber sole.
Platforms Shoes: Bringing the Trend to New Heights
Platform heels have had an insurgence of popularity during the past few years, with stars like Jenna Ortega and Sabrina Carpenter sporting the trend. The sky-high footwear style comes straight from the runway, with brands like Prada and Louis Vuitton including shoes at elevated heights in their newest collections. Most recently, Gucci lined its own spring 2024 presentation with platform-adorned iterations of the brand’s classic Horsebit loafer in rich colorways and traditional prints.
