Angela Simmons was spotted in formal attire heading out for the night in New York City yesterday. She was spotted leaving the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre after catching a performance of “The Notebook” Broadway musical.

The footwear designer kept things classic, sporting a pair of simplistic black pumps. Simple in construction, the shoe pick featured glossy patent leather uppers accompanied by sharp triangular toes and thin but sturdy stiletto heels.

The simplistic construction was classy and chic, making for a versatile moment that dressed up her ensemble for the night. No matter the colorway, pumps are beloved by many public figures from actresses to politicians.

Christian Louboutin, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, Gianvito Rossi, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga all feature black pumps similar to Simmons’ glossy choice. It’s hard to find a footwear brand that doesn’t include some sort of neutral black pump. Of course, labels have played around with the pump’s simplistic construction over the years, updating and editing the silhouette for the 21st century.

Bringing back the LBD, the “Supermodel” star donned a black long-sleeve piece featuring an asymmetric neckline and white curly lettuce trim. Simmons seemed to partner her dress with a denim jacket in a light wash. As for accessories, the star sported a slew of high-shine pieces of jewelry accompanied by a triangular rhinestoned mini Prada bag. The shapely bag can be purchased secondhand via a slew of websites including Fashionphile, ThredUp and Rebag.
