Emily Ratajkowski went back to her recent favorites, wearing a black and white Puma Speedcat sneaker for a walk in New York City on Monday.
Though she pulls out the high heels for her turns on the red carpet, Ratajkowski has become quite known for her off-duty street style. Over the past few years, she’s revealed herself as somewhat of a sneakerhead and a leader in the space. Quite a number of her sneakers have been from Puma including the two-tone Puma Palermo she wore a few weeks ago to walk her dog. That shoe featured a thick gum sole and was first introduced in the 1980s as a soccer style.
In her latest sighting, the model and podcast host was seen walking around New York City bundled up.

About the shoes
Ratajkowski is wearing the OG Puma Speedcat sneakers in black and white. The shoes feature a super low profile silhouette with a sole that is almost not there. The shoe features the Puma trademark swoosh on the side as well as the Puma cat on the toe.
The Speedcat was originally designed for F1 drivers in 1998. At the time, because of its used, it was a fireproof boot. A year later, it was released as a a sleek sneaker for the masses with a thin rubber sole. Different color variations of the Speedcat are currently available for $100.

The model has been spotted in the Speedcat multiple times. As early as December 2023, she was spotted in a pair. She’s worn a red variation in addition to the black. She was wearing the red variation, the Puma Speedcat Sparco, during New York Fashion Week.
Puma has supported its status as trending footwear with a collaborative update. In January, the label released a version by JUUN.J in Seoul.
